Letter from US Ed Secretary Duncan re: preventing teen dating violence

Dear Superintendents and Charter School Directors,

Attached, please find a letter from Secretary Duncan on the U.S. Department of Education’s recent efforts to support Chief State School Officers and local school communities in preventing teen dating violence and other forms of gender-based violence.  Included within are resources and recommendations that we believe will be helpful to your school communities in initiating action (e.g., a new training module we have designed to help school counselors and psychologists to prevent and respond to teen dating violence).  To ensure that they aware of these resources, we ask that you forward the letter to your local school superintendents so that they may share the information with their communities.
