The Spouses to Teachers program will be ending. Some states like NC will be partially funded into fiscal year 09 in order to manage a close out operation of the program.
As a result, there are certain impacts to Spouses to Teachers participants in North Carolina.
All participants that have registered prior to September 30, 2008 will have until March 30, 2009 in order to request vouchers for praxis reimbursement from our office.
If you have moved to another state after registration in
NC, please bear in mind that those states operating in a similar fashion
to NC are:
AZ, CA, CO (KS, NE, NV, NM, UT), FL, GA, ME (CT, MA, NH, RI, VT), MT (ID,
ND, OR, SD, WY), NJ, SC, TX, VA, and WA
These states, in addition to NC, will be providing counseling through March 30, 2009.
These same state offices will cease operation at close of business on March 30, 2009.
All other state offices for Spouses to Teachers, will cease operation October 1, 2008. Any inquiries or voucher reimbursements for registered participants for these other states must be made through the DANTES STT office by contacting, 800-231-6242.
