Prospective Student and Staff Information on Governor’s School Site
The Governor’s School of North Carolina has recently updated its Web site with information for prospective students and returning faculty for the 2010 session. To view the new material and learn more about the Governor’s School, please visit: http://www.ncgovschool.org/.
- Selection and tuition payment procedures for prospective students have been added to the Selection/Nomination page. Please remember that the student nomination period for the 2010 session for the Governor’s School closed November 18.
- Forms for prospective returning faculty and staff are also available on the Employment page. New applicant documents will be posted in January.
Updated IEP Training Modules Now on the Web
The Exceptional Children Division recently updated several Individualized Education Program (IEP) training modules, which are now available on the Web at http://www.ncpublicschools.org/ec/policy/presentations/. These training materials are provided for Exceptional Children directors to use in their districts. In addition, administrators and educators may use the materials for independent study, or in their schools.
MEP Site Features New Navigation and Resources
The Migrant Education Program (MEP) Web site features new navigation and new resources to assist district personnel working with migrant students and their families. Updates to the site include:
- New pages that highlight current activities in MEP and deadlines for reports,
- Updated MEP data calendar,
- New resources for teaching Out of School Youth, and more.

Child Nutrition’s Weekly Update Online
The latest edition of Child Nutrition’s Weekly Update is now online at http://www.ncpublicschools.org/childnutrition/weeklyupdate/. The update includes a variety of state and federal news for Child Nutrition administrators.
