Deadline for delivery of school kits: October 15 of each year.
Some of you have indicated that you want to participate, but need more time than the October 15 deadline for the first shipment. If so, don't worry. While we want to get as many of the school supply kits as possible to Zimbabwe for the start of school in January, this is an ongoing project, and your supplies can be sent later.

Individual kits should be prepared for students and/or teachers. Kits should include the items listed under Student Kits and/or Teacher Kits. Please label the kits (“Teacher” or “Student”). You can also download the teacher kits and students kits list (765kb pdf file) in Adobe Acrobat format. Requires Adobe’s free reader.

All materials in the kits should be new. Because of the customs of the people of Zimbabwe, the materials should be as plain as possible (avoid stickers and character logos on the supplies).

The kits should be packaged individually in a flat rectangular plastic tub with lid, or in a plain book bag, backpack, or large zip-lock plastic bag. If plastic zip-lock bags are used, donors may want to clip the bags to the clipboard.

Please enclose a check for $5.00 with each kit; this will cover costs associated with shipping and even help toward the fees that most schools require of students. Checks should be written to Stop Hunger Now and designated for Student to Student—Zimbabwe on the memo line. The address is Stop Hunger Now, Student to Student—Zimbabwe, 2501 Clark St., Suite 301, Raleigh, NC, 27607-7213.

The United Methodist Church is providing a warehouse facility to house the kits in preparation for shipping. Kits can either be delivered to the warehouse or shipped there. Please try to have your kits delivered to the warehouse facility no later that October 15 of each year. This will assure that the supplies are available to students when the Zimbabwe school year begins in January.
