Student to Student is a joint effort
of the Public Schools of North Carolina, Stop Hunger Now, and Project
ZOE of the United Methodist Church. Public school students can help
the orphans of Zimbabwe by providing school supplies and resources
for school fees and uniforms to students in that country. School
fees, school supplies, and uniforms are required for children to
be admitted to school. Because so many children have lost their
parents and are facing severe food shortages, school is not only
a place to learn, but also a place where perhaps the only meal of
the day may be found.
Through Student to Student, students in North Carolina are putting
together kits for students and kits
for teachers in Zimbabwe. By inserting a check for $5 into each
kit, participating schools and classrooms will also help to cover
the expenses of shipping the supplies and will also help students
in Zimbabwe with the expenses of school fees and uniforms.
