Virtual Charter School Pilot Program
On September 4, 2014, the State Board of Education voted on an application, process, and timeline to implement the statutory virtual charter school pilot program. More information is available on the Applications page.
Charter Applications for 2015-2016
On September 4, 2014, the State Board of Education voted to move 11 schools into the planning year phase with a targeted opening of August 2015. More information about those applicants is available on the 2015-16 Applications page.
Due to modification to the charter legislation in Senate bill 793. The attached letter puts forward the State Board of Education and Department of Public Instruction expectations for charter schools regarding Public Records. If a charter school partners with a CMO or EMO, be sure to pay close attention to the second page. There is a September 30, 2014 deadline for submission of information due to the Office of Charter Schools. This information may be submitted in either of the following manners:
